Hand Program at Palomar Health

Palomar Health utilizes a multidisciplinary team to provide cutting-edge treatments utilizing new and minimally invasive approaches for hand disorders. Palomar Health primarily specializes in:

• Carpal tunnel syndrome
• Tennis elbow
• Wrist pain
• Sports injuries of the hand and wrist
• Fractures of the hand, wrist, and forearm
• Trigger finger

Other problems treated by hand surgeons include arthritis, nerve and tendon injuries, and congenital limb differences (birth defects).

Not all problems treated by a hand surgeon need surgery. Hand surgeons often recommend non-surgical treatments, such as medication, splints, therapy, or injections.

Hand Therapy

Certified Hand Therapists (CHTs) use specialized skills in assessment and treatment to help restore function and improve quality of life for individuals with hand or arm disease or injury.

At Palomar Health Rehabilitation Services, our CHTs work with physicians and patients to provide a continuum of care. This often starts within days of the injury or surgery, through the patient's return to work and/or a productive lifestyle.
