Sheila Brown, R.N., MBA, FACHE

Sheila Brown is a valued healthcare professional with experience and heart, bringing her dynamic personality, her multi-tasking skills and her extensive knowledge of the industry to bear on the departments she runs.

A graduate of St. Louis University, Sheila Brown began her career in St. Louis, MO at
BJC Health before branching into California where she joined Palomar Health.

As Chief Clinical Outreach Officer, Sheila oversees all of the Palomar Health outpatient services, including the retail health centers (Palomar Health Express Care), Home Health, Behavioral Health, Rehabilitation, Wound Care Center, Diabetes Health, Employee Health, Skilled Nursing Facilities as well as Corporate and Employee Health Services.

Sheila draws on many years of experience in strategic planning, operations, business plan development and financial management to ensure that her departments run smoothly and effectively, providing the maximum service available to a wide range of patients. She takes her responsibility very seriously in terms of quality patient outcomes, customer satisfaction, profitable operating margins, development of new revenue opportunities and maintaining a positive work force.

Sheila maintains close connections with public communities on a local and state level through her active participation in professional bodies: she holds FACHE status as Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executive Association (FACHE), membership of the National Association of Occupational Health Professionals, is the current Chair Elect of the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce, and Co-Chair of the Hospital Based Outpatient Services sub-committee of the California Hospital Association in Sacramento, as well as a member of the Council of California State University of San Marcos.

On a personal level, Mrs. Brown is extremely proud of her supportive husband and two wonderful children, and is a keen advocate for strong family and community values.
