In support of Palomar Healthís capital campaign to build the “Hospital of the Future,” Cox Communications will make a $100,000 donation to Palomar Medical Center, a regional medical center in Escondido that opens Aug. 19.
The new center is already known for its use of innovative technology and environmentally sensitive design, and Coxís donation will help fund new communications technology to be used by patients and their families in the hospital’s Patient Resource Center. In addition to funding a multidimensional donor wall that will tell the stories of patients and families who have been cared for at Palomar Health, Cox is also contributing 10 iPads to be used by patients and their families in the Resource Center, according to a release.
