How Do I Schedule an Appointment with an Orthopedic Surgeon at Palomar Health?

With Which Insurance Companies Do Palomar Health Physicians Participate?

Each Palomar Health physician contracts with the insurance companies individually. We recommend that you identify the Palomar Health physician with whom you would like to visit and call the office directly to learn what insurances the physician accepts—or you can contact your insurance company for more information.

Do the Various Orthopedic Surgeons at Palomar Health Specialize in Different Problems?

Orthopedic medicine studies the functioning of the musculoskeletal system. Within this specialty, physicians specialize in spine, reconstructive and replacement surgery, sports medicine, hand, shoulder, elbow, foot and ankle, oncology, and orthopedic trauma. Orthopedic surgeons at Palomar Health are board certified and fellowship trained in these specialty areas.

Can All Orthopedic Surgeons Practice at Both Palomar Health Hospitals?

Although physicians from the community can seek credentialing at both Palomar Health hospitals (Palomar Medical Center and Pomerado Hospital) they must seek privileges at each facility separately.

Will I Need to Pay My Co-Insurance and/or Deductible at the Time of My Surgery—or Will You Bill Me?

All co-payments, deductibles and co-insurances will be collected at the time of service.

What Type of Orthopedic Conditions Do You Treat at Palomar Health?
