Steve Gold, Chief Officer Senior Care & Support Services
Steve Gold has been a licensed nursing home administrator for the past 36 years and currently has active licenses in the states of California, Wyoming, Virginia and Connecticut. He obtained his Masters Degree in Health Administration from SUNY at Stony Brook, NY and his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from SUNY at Buffalo, NY. Steve is a Certified Fellow of the American College of Health Care Administrators and a Fellow of the American College of Health Care Executives.
As Chief Officer for Senior Care and Support Services at Palomar Health, Steve oversees the operation of the districts’ hospital based skilled nursing facilities, Villa Pomerado and Palomar Continuing Care Center as well as system oversight for all Environmental, Food Service and Nutrition, Chaplaincy and Volunteers. During his employment at Palomar Pomerado, he has also served as the Interim Administrator at Pomerado Hospital from March 2007 to March 2008. Prior to coming to Palomar Health, he worked with Sentara Health for 15 years as a System Vice President over Senior Services, and at Goldman Institute on Aging in San Francisco, where he worked as President of the organization. He also worked at several other non profit and proprietary long term care facilities. Steve has served on several national boards of directors and most currently represents Palomar Health as a director on the Poway Chamber of Commerce and the Chair Elect of the CHA Hospital Services Continuing Care Board.
