Psychology Training Program

Palomar Health offers Pre-doctoral Psychology Internships and Post-doctoral Psychology Fellowships. The Behavioral Health Continuum of Care includes the adult inpatient Behavior Health Unit, brief stabilization at the Crisis Stabilization Unit, and the inpatient Gero-Psychiatric Unit.
 
Positions are fulltime, 40 hours per week for one year and paid. Populations served include:
  • Acute and chronic mentally ill adults and older adults
  • Providing individual and group psychotherapy
  • Risk assessment
  • Family therapy
  • Psychological screening and assessment
  • Multi-disciplinary treatment team meetings
  • Behavioral health support to patients who are on medical floors
  • Didactic seminars
  • Community outreach 
 
Interns wishing to apply must follow CAPIC guidelines (California Psychology Internship Council), whereas post-doctoral fellows simply send their resume and three letters of recommendation directly to:
