Rancho Bernardo Women Golfers donate $20k for Women’s Health

More than 120 women from two women golfer clubs at the Country Club of Rancho Bernardo joined forces to raise $20,100 for Palomar Health’s Jean McLaughlin Women’s Center. The “Women of the Country Club of Rancho Bernardo” and “Nine Holers” jointly hosted a charity golf tournament benefiting the Women’s Center. They’ve hosted the event for the past several years, with each year outdoing the previous.

The women presented the check to Sheila Brown, Vice President Continuum Care, at their weekly luncheon on Thursday, November 30. In thanking the lady golfers, Sheila said what makes the Women’s Center special is that women don’t have to leave their own community to get great care, provided by women.

The Palomar Health Foundation is in the midst of raising more than $400,000 for a new 3D mammography machine that will detect breast cancer cells 41% earlier than traditional mammography machines.
