Dr. James Bried recognized for service to victims of Chabad tragedy


Palomar Health Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. James Bried received a Certificate of Recognition from the State of California for his compassionate community service to the victims of the Chabad of Poway shooting.

One of the victims was visiting from Israel and did not have medical insurance. Dr. Bried volunteered his medical expertise and performed surgery on the patient without compensation. His act of compassionate service was indicative of the entire Palomar Health team who provided excellent care and support for the four victims and their families.

State Senator Brian W. Jones of the 38th District presented Dr. Bried with the award on July 10, 2019.

The award reads, “In special recognition of your unyielding commitment to the betterment of our community through your generous and compassionate contribution of your time and professional expertise to the victims of the tragedy at the Poway Chabad.”
