Palomar Health Celebrates International Women's Day

In celebration of International Women’s Day, Palomar Health would like to celebrate the many women who make all the great work in our health system possible. Women comprise much of the workforce across our healthcare district, and many hold key positions as leaders. Here are four of the many women responsible for fulfilling our mission to heal the community:



Diane Hansen, CPA - Chief Executive Officer

Diane Hansen is the Chief Executive Officer for Palomar Health. Previously, she served as the Executive Vice President, Finance for Palomar Health, after having twice served as the Director of Financial Planning and Decision Support, as well as the Director of Clinical Business Operations. Diane has more than 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry, to include for-profit, not-for-profit and governmental acute care hospitals in both academic medical centers and community hospitals. She also has extensive experience in physician networks, insurance providers and consulting, as well as expertise in the areas of Strategic and Financial Planning, Decision Support, and Clinical Business Operations.  



Sheila Brown, RN, MBA, FACHE - Chief Operations Officer
 
Sheila Brown is the Chief Operations Officer for Palomar Health. She is a healthcare executive with more than 25 years of experience in healthcare administration. She began her career in St. Louis, MO at BJC Health System where she served on the management team before branching into California where she joined Palomar Health in 1992. In her role as Chief Operations Officer, Sheila is responsible for all operational aspects of Palomar Health, which includes 395 licensed acute care hospital beds and a 129-bed skilled nursing facility, as well as Ambulatory Services. Prior to becoming Chief Operations Officer, Sheila was Vice President, Continuum Care.



Linda Greer, RN - Board of Directors Chair

Linda Greer is the Palomar Health Board of Directors Chair. She graduated from the Palomar College Nursing School and started her nursing career at the Palomar Medical Center Intensive Care Unit, where she was actively involved in efforts to improve patient care and safety - a passion of hers to this day. She continued her education through the University of California, San Diego Extension Re-Entry Program for Nurses, and completed a Fellowship with Health Ethics Trust. She is dedicated to helping people, no matter how diverse or indigent, who are in need of quality, safe and innovative healthcare. She shares this organization’s vision to be the health system of choice for patients, physicians and employees, and to be recognized nationally for the highest quality of clinical care and access to comprehensive services.  

 

Sabiha Pasha, MD - Palomar Medical Center Escondido Chief of Staff
 
Sabiha Pasha, MD, is Palomar Medical Center Escondido’s Chief of Staff. She has been in practice for more than 25 years and serves as a hospitalist and Medical Director of Inpatient Palliative Care Services. She offers her patients a holistic interpretation of their illness, if they desire one, and acknowledges the whole person. Sabiha grew up in Pakistan, where she finished her medical education. She came to the United States in 1992 and completed her residency in internal medicine at the Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. She practiced primary care for several years in rural Mississippi before moving to San Diego.
