PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration Residency

The PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration residency program is designed to provide the resident with the advanced skills and knowledge base to assume high level managerial, supervisory and leadership responsibilities within a multi-hospital health-system at completion.

The health-system pharmacy administration residency builds upon PGY1 residency graduates’ competence in the delivery of patient-centered care and in pharmacy operational services. Areas of competence emphasized during the program include safe and effective medication-use systems, quality assurance, the management of human resources, the management of financial resources, use of technology and advanced leadership.

Throughout the year, the resident will focus on the goals and objectives as outlined by ASHP and will also have a significant role in precepting PGY1 residents and pharmacy students.

Requirements:

Completion of accredited PGY1 pharmacy residency or equivalent, Pharmacy School Graduate, CA licensure, personal interview, submission of a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, pharmacy school transcript, three letters of recommendation and optional passport photo.
