Stephanie Jacobson, MA, CCC-SLP

Stephanie is a Spanish-English bilingual speech-language pathologist working in acute care at Palomar Medical Center Escondido. She began learning Spanish in 2002, and has spent the intervening years honing her language skills. She has also studied Quechua, Russian, Tagalog, Swedish, and Japanese. Stephanie completed a bachelor’s degree in linguistics with a minor in Spanish at University of California, Los Angeles, and a master’s degree in speech, language, and hearing sciences at San Diego State University as a part of the bilingual certificate program. She has worked for Palomar Health since 2015, and currently serves on the dysphagia committee. Additionally, Stephanie is audio editor of the Swallow Your Pride Podcast, a member of the Dysphagia Research Society and National Foundation of Swallowing Disorders, and is working towards board certification from the American Board of Swallowing and Swallowing
Disorders.
