Roger B. Schechter, MD, FACEP, FCCWS

Medical Director

Dr. Schechter is board-certified in Emergency Medicine and Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine. He is also a certified wound specialist.

Dr. Schechter earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from UCSD’s Revelle College and received his Medical Degree at UCSD School of Medicine. He underwent post-graduate training as an Emergency Medicine Resident at Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield and achieved board certification from the American Board of Emergency Medicine in 1998. Dr. Schechter is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and a Fellow of the College of Certified Wound Care Specialists. 

Dr. Schechter serves as a Western Regional Medical Director for Diversified Clinical Services. He is active in conducting clinical trials in both the acute care and wound care fields. He has been a speaker on the national level regarding wound care and has spoken internationally about clinical research.

In November of 2010, Dr. Schechter was voted Physician of the Year for Outpatient Services.

   
   

Bradley B. Bailey, MD, FAAEM, FCCWS

Associate Medical Director
Brad Bailey is co medical director of palomar pomerado wound care center
 

Dr. Bailey is board-certified in Emergency Medicine and Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine. He is also a certified wound specialist. 

Dr. Bailey received his BS and MD degrees from the University of Nevada, Reno. After completing his internship and residency in Emergency Medicine at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona, Dr. Bailey practiced Emergency Medicine and Hyperbaric Medicine in Northern Nevada and San Diego. He later entered sub-specialty fellowship training in Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine at the University of California, San Diego. 

Dr. Bailey serves as a Western Regional Medical Director for Diversified Clinical Services. He is also physician surveyor for the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society, and on the technical advisory board of National Polytechnic College of Oceaneering.

   
   

John Anshus, MD, CWS

John Anshus is a certified wound care physician for palomar pomerado wound care centers
 

Dr. Anshus is board-certified in Emergency Medicine and Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine. He is also a certified wound specialist. 

After receiving his undergraduate degree at Miami University, Dr. Anshus attended Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University. Dr. Anshus completed his internship in General Surgery at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, TX. He completed his residency at LA County/USC Medical Center in Emergency Medicine. Dr. Anshus was an assistant clinical professor of Emergency Medicine at Harbor/UCLA Medical Center and UCSD School of Medicine. 

   
   

Alexander Salloum, MD

Vascular Surgeon
Sr. Alexander Salloum is a vascular surgeon for Palomar Wound Center
 

Dr. Alexander (Sasha) Salloum is a native of New York and graduated from Stony Brook University School of Medicine.  He then completed his residency in General Surgery at Loma Linda University.  He returned to Manhattan for formal Vascular Surgery fellowship training at the Mount Sinai Hospital where he received additional training in Interventional Radiology and Interventional Cardiology.

   
   

Rod Serry, MD

 

 

 

 

Dr. Serry is a board-certified interventional cardiologist with Arch Health Partners and Escondido Cardiology Associates where he has practiced since 2007. A native of Chicago, he earned his medical degree at Rush Medical College and completed his internship in internal medicine at Rush Presbyterian – St. Luke’s Medical Center. Dr. Serry went on to complete fellowships in cardiology and interventional cardiology at UCSD, followed by further training at El Camino Hospital in Mountain View, California, where he focused on the minimally-invasive treatment of complex peripheral vascular disease.

Dr. Serry is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. In 2012, he was selected as a “Castle Connolly Top Doctor” (one of 15 interventional cardiologists in Southern California), and included among the 310 top interventional cardiologists on U.S. News and World Report’s "Top Doctors” list.

He specializes in interventional cardiology with particular interest in lower extremity revascularization to avoid amputation, aortic aneurysm repair, and carotid artery stenting.  

   
   

Antoine Hallak, MD, FACS

Antoine Hallak plastic surgeon for Palomar Wound Care Centers is Poway and San Marcos

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dr. Hallak is a board-certified plastic surgeon. He is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the San Diego County Medical Society and The San Diego Plastic Surgery Society. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (ACS). Dr. Hallak has a long history of excellent plastic surgery training from New York City to McGill University in Montreal, Canada. Now as a part of the San Diego Institute of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Hallak is able to bring his comprehensive training and experience to Southern California. He is currently the Representative of the Plastic Surgery Subsection of the department of Surgery at Palomar Health.

Dr. Hallak was voted Physician of the Year by Pomerado Hospital Operating Room Administration and Staff.

 

Sandeep Soni, MD, FIDSA

Infectious Disease
Sandeep Soni is infectious disease physician for the palomar pomerado wound care centers
 

 

 

 

 

 

Dr. Soni is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease.

Dr. Soni completed medical school at the Manipal College of Medical Sciences in Nepal.  He completed both his residency and internship at Setan Hall University School of Graduate Medical Education.  He then became an associate Cheif Resident at Setan Hall.  Dr. Soni completed his fellowship and then served as Medical Director of Infectious Disease at Main General Medical Center in Augusta, Maine. Dr. Soni is a fellow of the infectious Disease Society of America. 

Dr. Soni was awarded Clinical Honors in Forensic Medicine and Community Medicine.

   

Philip Larkins, DPM

Podiatrist
Philip Larkins is a podiatrist for the palomar pomerado wound care centers
 

Dr. Larkins completed his undergraduate degree at San Diego State University. He is a graduate of Barry University in Miami Shores, FL, where he received a master degree in biomedical sciences and a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree. Dr. Larkins completed a two year post graduate podiatric residency training at South Shore Hospital and Medical Center in Miami Beach. During his two years of training at South Shore Hospital, Dr. Larkins was actively involved in the wound care center at the hospital and participated in the daily care of patients with chronic wounds. Dr. Larkins has been practicing in North San Diego County for the past 4 years.

   

Philip Wrotslavsky, DPM

Podiatrist

Philip Wrotslavsky Podiatrist for Palomar Pomerado Wound Centers

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dr. Wrotslavsky is Fellowship trained in limb lengthening and limb reconstruction (Baltimore , Maryland). Prior to that he performed his Foot and Ankle Surgical residency at North General Hospital in New York City. His training was focused on Limb Salvage and Limb Preservation in Diabetics with Wounds. He is certified in administering Hyperbaric Oxygen.

He received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from The New York College of Podiatric Medicine. Prior to that he received his B.A. from Queens college.

Dr. Wrotslavsky serves as the Director of the Advanced Foot And Ankle Center of San Diego.

He is board eligible in both Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery and Foot Surgery from the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS).
