Adult Fitness Program
The adult fitness program at Palomar Health at San Marcos is a low-cost option for those who are beginning an exercise program or who are already committed to exercise and are looking for a change of pace.
This is a supervised fitness program for adults of all ages. Classes consist of warm-up and light stretching, aerobic exercise and cool-down. These are followed by resistance training and flexibility exercises. Each class ends with relaxation techniques.
Your orientation to the program includes a review of your current health status, risk factor modification and fitness goals. Body fat and nutritional assessments are also available. An exercise physiologist is available during each class to monitor blood pressure and heart rates, assess needs and answer fitness questions. A personal physical conditioning program will then be prescribed, based on your individual goals and needs.
Participants experience increased energy, reduced fatigue, improved muscle tone and flexibility, weight control, and a general feeling of good health.
