Occupational Therapist
Elizabeth Doherty is a licensed and nationally registered occupational therapist and certified hand therapist.
She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance performance from The Ohio State University (1997) and a Master of
Science in occupational therapy from San Jose State University (2005). Her clinical skills are developed from
practice in neurological rehabilitation, hand and upper extremity rehabilitation, and movement re-education
techniques from her dance training. She has experience working in various settings including acute care,
acute rehabilitation, and home health as well as outpatient rehabilitation. She is part of Palomar
Health's comprehensive clinical team for treating individuals with head injury from domestic violence
incidents.
Outside of the clinic, she enjoys exploring California with her husband, attempting to speak French, and taking
dance classes.
