Nayana Trivedi, MD

I was fortunate to be born in the family of doctors. My father introduced me to the WHO's definition of Heath when I got accepted into medical school: "Health is Physical, social, mental, emotional and spiritual well being,  not mere absence of disease." As an internist  I have always tried to impart and touch upon all aspects of health while treating my patients. Palliative Care philosophy is just that. It encompasses all aspects of human needs and brings all disciplines together. We are a team of Social workers, nurses, aides, Chaplains and doctors working together to alleviate the physical, social and spiritual pain if there is any. Thus it not only gives me the opportunity to work with patients but also with their family and learn from them.
