Jun O’Hara, MA, CCC-SLP

Jun joined Palomar Health in 2011. Born and raised in Japan, her interests have always revolved around languages and communication. Her becoming a speech-language pathologist was a result of her interests in helping those who have lost abilities to communicate with their loved ones. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Temple University Japan, a master’s degree in linguistics with an advanced certificate for language teaching, and a master’s in speech, language and hearing sciences from San Diego State University. Her primary areas of interest include assessment and treatment of patients with aphasia, apraxia, and dysphagia. Her passion is to help her patients and families understand their communication and swallowing disorders through fun and informative therapy sessions and to empower them to play an active role in their care.
